Join us June 24 -26, 2020 for a Virtual Advocacy Event

As you are aware, to keep everyone safe during the coronavirus pandemic, NADP will not be hosting an in-person advocacy day in Washington, D.C. this year.

However, recent state and federal actions have provided us with a new opportunity to engage with policymakers on urgent issues related to COVID-19 and dental coverage. Now is the time to make our voices heard before Congress votes on the next coronavirus stimulus package!

Join us June 24 -26, 2020 for a Virtual Advocacy Event calling on Congress to preserve and protect private and public dental benefits. Advocates will discuss several industry proposals with Congressional offices including, but not limited to, increasing the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP), providing federal subsidies for COBRA premiums, and allowing those who do not currently have insurance to enroll in dental plans on the Federally Facilitated Exchanges.

There is no fee to register and you do not need to have a background in government relations to join. NADP will set up phone calls and/or virtual meetings between you, your dental industry colleagues, and federal policy makers to discuss these important issues.  Block off June 24-26, 2020 on your calendar to make sure that you are available to participate in the phone calls and virtual meetings throughout those days. Let us know if you would like to participate no later than Monday, June 15, 2020.

Note: If you previously registered for Advocacy in Action you must re-register for this event.

Together, we can make the voice of the dental benefits industry heard and encourage Congress to prioritize actions that will preserve access to dental benefits and lead to improved oral health for all.

This event will also be an opportunity to educate key policymakers in Washington, D.C. about the positive actions your company and the industry have taken to help address the COVID-19 pandemic.

Virtual Advocacy Training: NADP will host an online advocacy training program prior to the start of your virtual meetings where you will learn how to effectively engage with Hill staff in a virtual setting. Information on this training webinar will be sent directly to participants once registration closes.

Please contact Teresa Cagnolatti at tcagnolatti@nadp.org with any questions. We look forward to joining you in advancing the industry’s priorities with policymakers!
